This original piece created in 2020 by one of our talented artists, Sarah Abbott, is vibrant and vintage.
Sarah grew up in a pretty 70’s house with a peach kitchen with brown trim, and a mustard bathroom complete with mustard bathtub, textured mustard glass screen and ombre mustard tiles! This vase sat on top of the kitchen cupboards for most of her childhood. When it came time to renovate the kitchen, Sarah's mum was going to throw it out but her sister took it instead. When she helped her sister move out of her house, her sister was going to throw it away but Sarah couldn’t bear to see it being discarded, so she has had it ever since. It reminds Sarah of growing up in a peach kitchen, and a mustard bathroom, and a time when electric orange was super cool.
This unique artwork is made with acrylic paint on cradled birch wood panel.
